Tourist Season

It is officially tourist season here in good 'ole Salem, MA! Thousands of poeple (my dog and myself included) came out today to kick off the busiest month of the year! Every year, Salem hosts "Haunted Happinings" a month jam packed of spooks, scares, history and fun. Let me just tell you, i am so glad i am in walking distance, the traffic is always bad but this month it turns hurrendous!

Well, we made our way down tonight. Unfortunantly i forgot to charge the battery in my camera and it died before the parade started. I have to say it was one of the longest parades i have ever seen but who cares, it was a georgous night and there was so much for me to people watch i was in heaven.... or was it hell! lol you should see the costumes these people are daring enough to wear! out of your mind if you ask me... but no one asked. My favorite part, although i cringe to admit it was the Salem Witches, the "real" witches of salem. Although i dispise anything scary and this is my least favorite time of year, i am interested in history, and the witches were scary but real and that was cool.
we walked around for a bit, ran into the newly married couple, C and D, and met up with Dana for grub and drinks at our newly favorite hang out.. lol. It was a fun night, times like these i am glad i live here, there is so much culture (lol) and things to see and do right out my front door.
